One Hand Washes the Other > Paintings: Transactions

Lassonde’s painting collection is primarily a selection of landscapes: nostalgic portrayals of uspoiled Québec countrysides.

I generated images in the style of painters in Lassonde’s collection, visualizing mining landscapes in place of pastoral winter scenes. I then commissioned these images to be painted by students at the Pierre Lassonde School for the Arts, creating a collection of paintings of landscapes wrought by Lassonde’s investment.
