Visitation
The images in this folder were photographed by Jesse Levine as the product of his role as my impersonator. In his role as the artist, he was required to document the performance of A. Snider as she visited the Blackwood Gallery and stood transfixed by the photograph. Her visits/performances were unannounced, and it was only as her clothing and pose became more pronounced did her presence draw attention from the gallery public.
A. Snider followed the script below:
Act One
Visit the gallery, stand in front of the photo making sustained eye contact with the figure in the image. Do this for as long as possible. Repeat as many times as you wish for two weeks.
Act Two
Visit the gallery wearing an article of clothing that the figure in the image is wearing, stand in front of the photo making sustained eye contact. Hold this for as long as possible. Repeat as many times as you wish for 1 week.
Act Three
Visit the gallery wearing an article of clothing that the figure in the image is wearing. Stand in front of the photo making sustained eye contact holding the same pose as the figure in the image. Hold for as long as possible. Repeat as you wish.
