I counterfeited notices of missed delivery, then affixed these counterfeit notices to the doors of art galleries. These notices typically refer to an actual object, the delivery of which has been interrupted due to the recipient's absence at the time of delivery.
Upon the receipt of a missed delivery slip, the arrival of an object is assumed. In their everyday usage, these documents indicate an absent object.
By falsifying these notices, I have opened a space between index and object, where I have inserted a reference to a non-existent object. This falsification creates objects that only exist in a state of extended, delayed expectation.
