This work developed out of pressure from my graduate program to make better use of my studio space. In response, I began to steal books and other small items from the office of the director of graduate studies and to put them in my studio.

Following the accumulation of items, I gave some away to collectors or curators in the area reconfigured as art objects by using a deed of gift.
